Important Update Following National Coronavirus Measures
On 17 March 2020, Conway Hall, in line with Government advice on the Coronavirus pandemic, announced closure of the building until 5th April in the first instance.
On 23 March, there have been further measures announced by the Prime Minister to stay at home except for limited, essential purposes.
All this obviously has consequences for the running of our courses. The status of our Summer term courses is now becoming clearer. It is quite certain they will not be able to take place physically but a number of us are organising on-line alternatives and the course descriptions are being updated on these pages to reflect where these options are already available (generally at a reduced rate, too). We like to think that the philosophical show must go on!
Thank you for your understanding at this time. We wish you and your families well. Please keep safe and we’re looking forward to things getting back to normal in the near future.
The London School of Philosophy was founded in 2010 by a group of seven friendly and experienced lecturers formerly employed by Birkbeck College, following the reduction of the Birkbeck Philosophy Certificate programme.
Our aim is to provide philosophy classes of the highest quality for thoughtful people in the London area. Our courses cover key areas of philosophy in an accessible and professional way.
We are proudly independent and receive no government funding, but by keeping administration costs down, are able to offer our courses at competitive rates.
Since 2011, we have been working in collaborative association with Conway Hall.
